Industrial cooperation

WUT’s growing potential, in conjunction with the growing needs of the knowledge economy, is a prospect to develop research staff and intensify cooperation with business and public institutions.

R&D

• The collaboration with business in joint research programs like industrial PhDs will be strengthened.
• Developing technologies for industrial applications will increase involvement in innovation activities and collaboration with industry.
• Research endeavours will be combined with joint R&D projects performed with technology partners and aiming at large scale deployment of the algorithms and methods developed by the group.

Commercialization

Innovative WUTprogramme will be launched aimed at strengthening the University's innovativeness, and consisting of two key components, focused on inspiring and financing patents, primarily international ones (Patent WUT) and supporting innovative researchers (WUT's Best Innovators). Knowledge can also be transferred from the University to the environment through spin-off and spin-out companies, so additionally, WUT Accelerator programme, supporting establishment and development of such companies will be introduced, making use of entrepreneurial attitudes of students, graduates and research staff.
